Freedom from Fear

Stillness as the antidote to anxiety

Scripture Anchor
He says, 'Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.'
Psalm 46:10
Written Meaning

Fear diminishes when you recognize God's presence and sovereignty. Anxiety is interrupted through thought intercept and grace awareness.

A Prayer to Pray

“Father, quiet my racing thoughts. Remind me that You are God and I am not. Replace fear with awe of Your faithfulness.”

One Practice

Morning Calibration: kneel before engaging your day. Pray Psalm 51:10. Thought Intercept: when anxiety rises, pause, breathe, whisper "Be still, and know that I am God." Grace Awareness: in overwhelming moments, whisper "My grace is sufficient for you."

Reflection

When did anxiety last rise today? What truth could you have whispered into it?
