Healing from Shame
Where the wound was planted, the truth must be spoken
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.
Jesus came not only to forgive but to heal the broken. Shame is a wound, not a sin. It is healed through God's presence meeting you at the memory.
“Lord Jesus, meet me at the place where I was wounded. Speak truth where lies were planted. Heal my shame.”
Identify one memory where shame took root. Invite Jesus into that memory. Speak truth aloud: "I am not what that moment said about me. I am what Christ says about me."
