Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
Grief is a journey through darkness toward dawn. God meets you in the night, and His mercies are new every morning.
“Lord, You collect my tears in a bottle. You are near to the brokenhearted. Walk with me through this valley until I see the dawn again.”
Midnight: when discouragement comes, read Psalms 42 and 62. Pray them back to God. Morning: declare "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed... great is your faithfulness" (Lamentations 3:22-23).
What loss are you still carrying that you have not yet brought into God's presence?
Scripture multiplies when it is passed person to person. If someone you love needs these words today, send it.
If grief becomes prolonged depression or hopelessness, please reach out to a Christian counselor or grief support group.
