Renewing the Mind

Thinking the thoughts of God

Scripture Anchor
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:2
Written Meaning

Transformation does not start in behaviour — it starts in the mind. The world disciples your thinking through every screen and conversation; God disciples it through truth, slowly, deliberately, day by day.

A Prayer to Pray

“Father, audit my thinking. Show me which thoughts are mine, which are the world's, and which are Yours. Renew my mind by Your truth so I do not drift with the current.”

One Practice

For seven days, write down one thought you keep believing that contradicts Scripture. Beside it, write the verse that replaces it. Read it aloud each morning until the new thought feels familiar.

Reflection

Which 'pattern of this world' has shaped you most quietly — and what verse would dismantle it?
