Engaging in Spiritual Warfare
Spiritual Young Adults — Strength to Stand
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
Strength is not striving — it is standing. The armor of God is your daily clothing: truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word.
“Lord, clothe me in Your armor today. Train my hands for war, my mind for truth, my heart for peace. I take my stand in Your name.”
Each morning, name the armor aloud: belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, sword of the Spirit. Speak one Scripture to counter each lie you hear that day.
What recurring lie do you need a sword (Scripture) to cut down?
Scripture multiplies when it is passed person to person. If someone you love needs these words today, send it.
If you experience intense oppression or intrusive thoughts that don't lift after sustained prayer, contact a pastor or Christian mental-health professional.
